Days of our Livejournal: Students Hop Online and Connect

The reemergence of the popular channel Nickelodeon on Residential Hall cable television. A brief campus visit by Santa Claus himself. Grievances and advice concerning financial aid, textbook purchasing and class scheduling.

What do all of these things have in common?

They are all issues that have recently been discussed on what is becoming a common source of up-to-date information for students: the University of Maryland Baltimore County Community Livejournal.

On the web at www.livejournal.com/community/umbc/, the UMBC Community Livejournal lets users stay in contact with the campus, even while away or over break. Whenever there is news that might be relevant to the student body, like a snowstorm that closes the school for the day, or controversies such as possible tuition raises or uproar over the outrageous prices for a can of soda, you will likely find mention of them here.
