Banderas and Depp Aim to Blow You Away In Mexico
Steve Wiley
Retriever Weekly Staff Writer

As a pure action picture, Once Upon a Time in Mexico (**1/2 out of four) misses few of its marks. Its exciting, overwrought 97 minutes yield a ton of explosions, some honest laughs, but hardly a character that draws our attention by doing anything but drawing his (or her) weapon.

There’s an exception, though, to this unexceptional rule that few actors in the action genre ever seem to break, making this movie entertaining and unpredictable enough to give it marginal recommendations, even to those who couldn’t care less to see another bullet fly across the screen.

Sweet! They fixed the * = H conversion error since last year. Happy, joy!
