Grrr...

I hate how sometimes bad things in life seem so inevitable. Here's what I mean: this evening, staff members of The Retriever Weekly went out to eat at the local Bennigan's restaurant. Certainly not a bad thing; in fact, it was very good. But, since (as all my readers know) I'm a 24 fanatic, missing tonight's episode was unthinkable. What to do? Why, how about I dust off that 20 year-old VCR of mine? Somewhere in the back of my mind there was a little voice saying, "Danger! Your plan is futile! You are going to miss tonight's Bauer Power Hour, just admit defeat and move on!" But I defiantly ignored that little voice, set the VCR, and got my munch on. So, once I got home, I hopefully turned on the VCR, and, wonder of wonders- it had actually recorded something! Here's the bad part though- the @*#^ thing had only taped 15 minutes of the show. *Sigh*... Why that is, I do not really care to know. So, the bottom line is: (1) no 24 recap from me this week and (2) never trust a crappy VCR.
