And now, (once blogspot starts working again) a double shot of 24 reviews, since last week my VCR crapped out on me and I had to wait to see the replay on FX today:
24: 2:00-3:00 pm
"He is going to put a bullet in my head and then turn the gun on himself."
-Nina
"We'll make sure he won't turn the gun on himself." -Jack
I felt this episode was beginning to really drag about halfway through, but Jack and Nina's raid sure turned things around. Awesome scene. The rest of the episode was just so-so. I hate to think that the Prez would be so gullible as to let Sherry run the show (again). I also thought Jack was about to walk into a trap set by Nina, but that didn't prove to be the case. And the climax was pretty sweet, despite the fact that some jackass had already spoiled it about 4 weeks ago. Thanks, troll.
24: 3:00-4:00 pm
Today's episode of 24 has been rated TV-PFV: pretty freakin' violent.
Dear me, I don't think there's ever been this much carnage on the show. Let's see... two deaths by gunshot wound, a throat slitting (with copious amounts of blood I might add), Mason going bonkers on Reza (and presumably vomiting blood thereafter), that inspector/h@x0r guy getting last year's Thanksgiving stuffing knocked out of him, and, oh yeah... the explosion on the jet. Nice. The second half of the episode kicked my butt, I've gotta admit.
I just can't believe President Palmer hasn't thrown that skank Sherry out of his office yet. Does he have Alzheimer's? Does he somehow think she isn't going to try to sabotage his administration for her own personal gain? That's the weakest link of the show right now; The Adventures of Kim and Co. isn't exactly my favorite part either. But the rest is simply sweet. posted by Steve
