Life, as we march ceaselessly toward the inevitable, but very regretable (for some) end of the semester, has been good, no, great for me lately. And I have one special person to thank, and I do, as often as I can... :-D Perfection is so hard to find, and I wasn't even trying to find it, but I know I did. LOL! :-)
Has anyone seen what Bruce Wayne has been up to recently?
LONDON (Reuters) - A masked and caped do-gooder has been sweeping through an English town, performing good deeds and scattering terrified bad guys, a local newspaper reported.
The Kent and Sussex Courier said Friday it had received letters from "stunned residents" of the town of Tunbridge Wells, southeast of London, who saw the man in a brown mask and cape scare off hooligans and return a woman's dropped purse.
Good thing I've always got my Buffy! ;-)
I so love this; I was truthfully thinking of writing something along these same lines:
English Sans French A French-owned hotelinnkeeping firm, Accor, has taken down the tricolorthree-hued flag. In the House of RepresentativesBurghers, the chairmanleader of the CommitteeBody on AdministrationRunning Things has renamednamed anew French fries "freedom fries" and French toast "freedom toast" in House restaurantseating rooms.
It is time for English-speaking peoplesfolk to throw off this cultural imperialismlording-it-over-others and declaresay our linguistic freedom. It is time to purifyclean the English languagetongue. It will take some sacrificeshardship on everyone's part to get used to the new parlancespeech. But think of the satisfactionwarm feeling inside on the day we are all able tocan all stare the Académie Française in the eye and say without fear of reprisalinjury: "Sumer is icumen in...."
Nothing like a little linguistically-flavored satirical op/ed.
